From Humble Beginnings to a Wrestling Universe

MAT CLASH Wrestling Corp. was born from the vision of blending competition, storytelling, and community into one unique brand. What started as $Bmoney Beastin’ Athletics in August 2022 has since evolved into something much larger. Founded by Jesse Drennen and Quantal Langford, the brand began shaping the Mat Clash Universe in early 2023 with the creation of its very first character — Mat Beast (MB).

Originally introduced for promotional purposes, 'MB' became the cornerstone of a growing world of wrestlers, stories, and experiences that reflect the real struggles and triumphs found in the sport.

Today’s MAT CLASH

  • Card Game – Two waves of the Mat Clash Card Game have been released, with the next wave already in development.

  • Mobile App – A full-featured app is on the way, bringing the Mat Clash experience to wrestlers and fans everywhere.

  • Traveling Dual Teams – Mat Clash is hitting the road with dual meet teams, giving athletes the chance to represent the brand in real competition.

  • Wrestling Club – Building athletes on and off the mat through training, teamwork, and community.

  • Series in the Works – The Mat Clash Universe is expanding into storytelling, with a series that brings characters and rivalries to life.

Leadership and Innovation

In early 2025, Ken Hammonds joined the team as Chief Technology Officer (CTO), adding a new layer of innovation and vision to the brand. Hammonds is the inspiration behind the Coach Cutter character in the Mat Clash Universe, symbolizing leadership, mentorship, and resilience.

He has also brought his PIN TN rankings system — Tennessee’s trusted source for high school wrestling rankings — under the Mat Clash umbrella, further strengthening the brand’s commitment to the sport and its community.
